Mr. Dennis Gableman Pace 2 April 14, 1983 alleys to input both sanitary wastes from the Work Release Facility and runoff from the expanded parking lot into the eight -inch east -west sewer. Construction of the sewer connection for the Work Release Facility under the Jail contract will permit coordination of trenching; grading; manhole installation and line connections; paving; and the installation of other underground utilities and facilities. Construction of the sewer connection now would necessitate new connections, new earthwork, paving, etc., when the Jail site work is undertaken. We anticipate that the State will make funds available for construction of the Jail within the next several weeks; additionally, we expect that the Work Release Facility population will be substantially below its design capacity for several months. Or these bases, we propose to operate the Work Release Facility with its present sewer services until such time as orderly revisions can be made under the Jail contract. We offer the stipulation, however, that we would proceed with an independent connection to the eight -inch main if State funding of the Jail has not been confirmed by Septembe,• 1st.
