Texas 75235
214-353.1689
3. PRODUCr DESCRIPTION
PEDA-GARD 11 is a fluid surface
applied clastomeric wearing surface
waterproofing system which is applied
in homogenous layers positively bonded
to the substrate. The system's clastic
qualities allow it to bridge shrinkage
cracks in concrete.
-Basic Use: Surface applied, skid
resistant wearing surface waterproof-
ing coating system for application over
concrete, tile, exterior grade plywood,
steel (on approval), stadium bleachers.
promenade decks, lanias, mechanical
rooms, roof areas for window washing
equipment, terraces, balconies and
plazas to protect occupied areas under-
neath against water damage and to keep
concrete slabs from spalling and deteri-
orating due to deicing salts, chemicals
and freeze -thaw damage.
HEAVY-DUTY PEDA-GARD 11 -
Incorporates the chemical and impact
resistance of epoxy as a wear coat for
use in areas such as hospital labora-
tories, animal rooms, bottling plants,
battery rooms, shops, or any area where
abnormal wear, impact resistance,
chemical resistance, or contaminated
conditions occur.
Limitations: The substrate must be
concrete, water or sodium silicate base
cured only, structurally sound (mini-
mum of 3000 psi compressive strength),
or exterior minimum B-C grade DFPA
stamped plywood with exterior grade
glue, clean and dry. Peda-Gard 11
cannot be bonded to wax, oils, grease.
or tar. It cannot be applied to concrete
cured 'r101 compounds of wax chlorl,
hated rubber or resin base, Minimum
temperature for application is 40eF
(4.4e C). Steel decking over which
concrete is poured should be perforated
to permit escape of trapped moisture on
exterior exposed applications.
The teo-eoml SDrt-gioq Well has bun reelo-
dulls It in Dubliphons doDpi[hted by "I. 1%a.
1%S. 1m. t%I, lnd ."it bl Pori of the
C"I...lore sattlhubons hod1ia, Inc., Wash,ht.
loll. 0.C. 29036
Composition and Materiah; The
PEDA-GARD II system is composed of
polyurethane. aggregate, and epoxy
primer. The Heavy -Duty Peda•Gard 11
system incorporates the addition of
epoxy as a finish coat.
Sizes: The basic ingredients in
PEDA-GARD 11 are shipped in liquid
form, in metal containers, varying in
size from S to 55 gallon capacity. All
containers bear Underwriters Labora-
tory labels.
Colors: Gray and Tan are the
standard colors. Other to :oat colors
are available on SIT seta order.
