Mr. Tim White
January 17, 1984
Page Two
7. The garage exhaust is designed according to UBC Section 705 which
calls for 1.5 CFM per square foot of floor area. Exhaust intake grilles
JkY can be pre Aded near the floor level if they are required by the authori-
V 11 ties.
lI^NOI The walls are already fire rated. The door will be changed to comply.
U C u 9 A curb will be provided around the day tank to confine any oil spill.
„fUII 10. A roof hood with an opening of 11" x 11" is provided (for combustion air
to the boiler room) and is shown in Drawing M20. Mcu,CoNlAy Lq- GOZQ.- oly7c ,
AL_J1. HVAC eqipment does not have any condensing units. Condensing units for
walk-in cooler and freezer are about 5 HP (according to the kitchen con-
sultant).
12. The exhaust outlet for the garage is located more than 5 feet from any
openable window or fresh air intake and is at least 10 feet from any
adjacent buildings. It is about 13 feet from the sidewalk. We believe
that the exhaust outlet meets the intent of the Code requirement which
is to be as far away from people as practical.
We will 'await for your advice before proceeding to incorporate the changes.
Please give me a call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
HOWARD NEEDLES TADMEN & BERCENDOFF
IZ_Ttvu~
Peter Niu, P.E.
PPN:smd
Enclosures
