The house is a hazard to the health, safety, and welfare of the public. <br />Deficiencies noted pursuant to the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings: <br />1. The building exists in violation of specific requirements applicable to such buildings <br />provided by the building regulations of this jurisdiction, as specified in the Building <br />Code and Housing Code as adopted by Ordinance of this jurisdiction relating to the <br />condition of buildings. <br />2. Portions of the building are likely to become detached or dislodged, or coilapse and <br />thereby injure persons or damage property. <br />3. The building is an attractive nuisance to children and a harbor for vagrants. <br />4. The building is in such a condition as to constitute a public nuisance known to the <br />common law or in equity jurisprudence. <br />Since the building is uninhabitable in their present condition, it shall remain vacant and kept <br />secured from unauthorized entry until such a time as it is repaired in accordance with all <br />current building codes in the City of Everett or demolished. <br />Your immediate attention is required in correcting these conditions. Please advise this office <br />within 10 (ten) days of your receipt of this letter with a plan of action to accomplish this. If <br />you have any questions cuncerning these requirements, you may call me at 257-8810. <br />Work conducted ro correct these wnditions wilt reqrire permits. Information regarding <br />building permit application requirements, time frames and code information may be obtained at <br />3200 Cedar Street, second floor or by telephone 257-8810 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and <br />5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. <br />The permit requirements are mandated by the Washington State Legislature and enforced by <br />the City of Everett.
