30.Calculadons should be provided which show the required amount of attic ventilation <br /> has been provided. "Bird Blocking" (detail 6/S-16)will require addidonal vendlation <br /> such as ridge or gable end vents. Requi�ed 1/4 inch co�rosion resistant metal mesh <br /> shall be specified. Note that the mesh will reduce the efficiency to 75% of the gross <br /> opening. Attic ventiladon may not be taken from areas whe�s opening protecdon is <br /> required. All venting locadons should be shown on the roof plans. <br /> 31.Main tunners, cross furring, and hangers should be specified on the plans and shown <br /> to be in conformance with Table 25-A for the suspended ceiling shown in the ezercise <br /> room. Section 25Q4A <br /> 32. Details should be submitted for lateral bracing with compression swts for the <br /> suspended ceiling. UBC Standard 25-2,Table 25-A,Footnote 1. <br /> 33. It should be shown on the plans that a listed smoke detector be placed near the <br /> elevator entrances that upon activation will prohibit the elevator from opening and <br /> �etum it to the main floor. Emergency exit lighting should be provided in rooms (ezcept dwelling units), stairs <br /> and corridors. An emergency power supply for exit illumination should also be <br /> provided. Section 1012.2 <br /> 5. IIluminated exit signs should be shown at all stairways, exit doors (except dwelling <br /> �mits) and corridors to clearly indicate the direcdon of egress.
