Ken Callaham
November 26, 1975
Page 2
. This leaves item N6, con.cerring parapet walls on the south wall.
The U.B.C. states that in substitute for a parapet wall a fire
resistive material of 2 hours may be used up to the line 10
feet from the Droperty line in this case. Johns -Manville has
mineral fiber tiles for fire -rated ceilings which are U.L.
rated for 2 hour fire retardant roof assemblies. This tile is
called Firedike 360 and an edge detail of BE TGK or SE TGK at
3/4" thickness gives the highest fire rating. In my judgement
this shall Se sufficient for the fire protection required in this
matter if it is applied over the roof decking and before the
roofing.
I believe thet these comments should satisfy the requirements for
a Building Permit. Please contact me if there are any further
questions.
Yours very trulytX
DONIJ H06AiiIATE
DH:tm
