Sprinkler systems must be installed in accordance with Uniform Building <br />z HH Code standard 38-1 and or NRPA standard 13. Plans must be submitted to <br />the Building Department and/or the Fire Department for review and <br />ti approval for both the underground fire main and the sprinkler system. <br />n C H Hydrostatic test and flushing test are to be performed with withness by <br />En the Fire Prevention Bureau. Contractors material and test certificates <br />j for the underground piping and sprinkler system must be completed and <br />z H ti submitted to the Fire Department. <br />HOti <br />13. Fire safety practices during construction shall be in compliance with <br />article 87 of the Uniform Fire Code,1988. <br />14. A permit from the Fire Department is required for installation of <br />underground storage tanks. <br />15. The plans submitted to the Fire Prevention Bureau must show: <br />a. Size, location, and product stored for each tank; <br />b. Specifications or. Tank and Piping Materials; <br />C. Corrosion protection, if applicable; <br />d. Piping diagram including fill openings and vent lines and openings; <br />e. Detail and Locations of leak detection; and <br />L f. Specifications for any special equipment. <br />15. Portable Fire protection shall be provided within 75 feet travel <br />distance of all portions of combustible construction during construction. <br />L <br />16.
