EARTH ANCHOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS <br />I. Drlve Machine Instaliations: <br />ach the dr(ve machine adapter head to the tensioning device that is in direct allgnment wlth � <br />tne anchor shaft. Position the helix•end of the�nchor on the soll at a slight angle under the ex- <br />terior side of the home. This will prevent the anchor from hlndering future skirting Installa• <br />tions. Activate the drlve machine and exercfse control in mafntaining full penetratlon of the an- <br />chor. <br />II. Manual Installetlons: <br />1. Using a post hole digger, develop a hole approximately 24" deep in the proper <br />posltion which fs directly under the overhead strap and slightly underneath the <br />home so as to allow adequate room for future sklrting Installations. <br />2.Insert the anchor; position a plece of pipe through the head fur additlonal <br />leverage, and rotate with downward preasure In a clockwiae direction encourap- <br />ing IYs flnal penetratlon. <br />3. When the ancho'r has been Installed to It's full depth, repack the earth 8" at a <br />time. Saturating and compacting with each 6" increment will maxim(ze your Im- <br />medlate holding capacfty. <br />III.Strap Teneloning Instrocttons: <br />1. <br />In8ert the tenslon bolt into ;he <br />anchor head and looaely attach <br />the hex nut. <br />18 <br />� <br />Place the strap end through the <br />slotted shank of the tenslon <br />bolt and bring flushly to the op• <br />poslte side of the shank. <br />4. � <br />Once tensioned to the <br />� point that counter- <br />clockwise resistance <br />appe�ars, a 518 open- <br />�� <br />enci wrench should be <br />. used to hold the square <br />� � neck while repositlon- <br />ing the 15116" tension- <br />ing wrench which will <br />enable continued and <br />Ifinal tensioning. Repeat <br />as re uired <br />3. <br />Bend the strap at 90 depreea <br />and with the use of a 15118" <br />socket or open�end wrench, <br />rotate in a clockwise manner <br />wrappIng the strap around the <br />shank of the tension bolt. <br />i� <br />Once fully tensloned; <br />align the square neck of <br />the bolt with the square <br />'recess In the snchor <br />head and tlghten the <br />hex nut. This will draw <br />�the two together and <br />tock the s��stem into it'� j <br />final position. <br />q <br />WARNINCi: Carefully inspect each anchorinq Iocation for hazardous underground wiring. Consult <br />local utllity companies or building authorities as is necessary. <br />
