„ <br />� A hearing was hel� on the application of Peter Salamonsen, <br />19402 - 68th �4est, Lynnwood, �4A, for a variance from Section <br />19.90.0<0, E.M.C. (Everett Municinal Code), Off-Street Park�ng, <br />for permission to reduce the required parking to six (6) parking <br />� stalls for a six (6) unit apartment heuse rather than the code <br />� requirement of nine (9) parking spaces. <br />LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lots 58 and 59, S�.nyth L�nd Co. 2nd Add, to <br />! Everett <br />� ADDRESS: 3922 Rucker <br />ZONING: R-4 Multiple Family High Density Residence <br />� Mr. Salamonsen represented himsel£ and made the fullowing <br />i <br />statements: <br />1. The proposed building lot is zon2d for eight (E) units <br />and he wishes six (6) units with slightly'reduced <br />parking. <br />3. If the City par}:ing requirements are adhered to, it <br />will reduce the beauty of the lot. There are two lar9e <br />F.vergreen trees that ne does not want to destroy and <br />they would have to be removed if additional parking i.s <br />to be provided. <br />There vas some oppositi.on to Mr. Salamonsen's request. One of <br />the neighbors, f•;rs. Cc�son, who livea ai 3532 Ruc'r.er, stated <br />the following: (1) Additional traffic that a si.x (6) plex wou.lcl <br />create could he hazardous; (2) also, there is little room for <br />par'r.ing now; (3) the Cit}� ordinance should be adtiered to; and <br />(4) consi_deration should bc given to the neighboring residence. <br />Also, Idr.. Ric}: Cooper, oi the i:ve�-ett Clini.c, fel.t the parkin9 <br />ordinauce should not be violated in that area becau�e of e�:istin� <br />ofi-street parking pressures. <br />A nei.ghbor, bi.rs. ICristiansen, seconded by Dir. Russell, and <br />unanimously carried to postpone the applicant's request for thirty <br />(301 da}�s so tiiak additir�»al inf���matien may be provided, acid to <br />give D4i.
