Securitv Fence - Any security fence erected around the construction sile shall be <br />located so as to not obstruct any existing hydrant, fire protection equipment, or <br />Fire Department access. If Fire Department access is obstructed, gates or other <br />openings shall be provided for access. <br />4. PREMISE IDENTIFICATION AND ALL REQUIRED FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />ACCESS ROADS AND FIRE HYDRANTS SHALL BE IN SERVICE PRIOR TO <br />COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. <br />5. Premise Identification - Premises shall be clearly identified by the correct address <br />at the street entry. Buildings shall be clearly identified so as to be visible and <br />legible from the access road. Individual apartments and suites, where <br />applicable, shall be ;learly and legibly identified from the access road. <br />6. 5ervice Stations - A fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of 2-A:20-B:C <br />shall be provided and so located that it will not be more than 75 feet from any <br />pump, dispenser or fill-pipe opening. <br />Permits are required from the Fire Department for removal and installation of <br />underground fuel tanks. <br />The contractor shall provide the Fire Marshal with specifications for tanks, piping, <br />dispensers and leak detection equipment, or any other special equipment prior to <br />installation. <br />9. Trash Collection - Dumpsters over 1.5 cubic yards capacity shall be located <br />minimum of 5 feet from the building [IFC 304.3.3, 2003 Edition]. <br />GENERAL INFORMATION <br />Installation of new underground storage tanks must meet the requirements of the <br />new State Underground Storage Tank regulations (173-360 WAC). Copies of <br />these regulations and required forms are available from the Department of Ecology <br />by calling (206) 407-7202, or toll-free in state 1-800-826-7716. <br />2. A notice of intent to install tanks must be filed with the Department of Ecology at <br />least 30 days prior to installation. Within 30 days after coming into service, the <br />tanks must be registered with the Department of Ecology on a stale notification <br />form. <br />3. All firms providing tank installation services must be registered with the <br />Department of Ecology. Tfie supervisor on site during installation must be licensed <br />by passing an exam administered by the International Fire Code Institute or by <br />another state with which Washington has a reciprocity agreement. Within 30 days <br />after coming into service, an installation checklist form i�wst be provided to the <br />Department of Ecology by the company that performed the installation work. <br />��� <br />
