Mark Cheslik
11418 105" Ave NW Apt H-12
Lakewood, WA 98498
253 581. 8189
July 1, 2003
Don Seidel
Totem Triangle Canter
44"' and Rucker Ave
Everett, WA
425 334 8891
Dear Don:
Below I have listed some explanations concerning the floor plan for the Everett Denture Center
1- Counter top areas:
A) This is the clinic counter. This will be a 12 foot long counter top at st; nding height of TV or kitchen height - if the
extra 4 inches is not possible. This must sit on some type of enclosed cabinet that matches so it will look professional.
Located at each end of this 12' counter will be a sitting height counter top of 2' 4", that are 4 feet long. We need enough
space to sit underneath each of the sit down areas. We need cabinets above this counter top area at least 12 feet long.
The two 15" sinks are located at the midline, separated by a 2' space. These sinks need to have a spout that rises high
enough so we can wash our hands easily. the on/off control should be a single unit control to help us keep the handle
touching to a minimum. Foot controls for the on/off would be great if they are not too expensive. Please make the
clinic area look great for our patients"'
B) This is a lab counter top located at standing height of 3' 4". The counter top will run the entire length of the wall and
continue round the corner toward the side door. Enough space must be left so the side door can be opened and also to
allow room for a small gas range approximately 2.5' in width. If 3' is needed for the width of the door, plus 2.5' for the
range, then 4.5' of counter length will be needed to reach the wall. The sink is to be a large, 10" deep, 2 sided, stainless
steel kitchen sink. The water spout must be high enough so a large pot can be placed under it and the spout must be able
to swivel, so we can place it out of the path of our movements.
C) This counter will cover the length of the brick wall or approximately 11.25' at a sit down height of 2' 4". This is our
workbench area so we will need to place our legs underneath and scoot around on wheeled chairs. This counter top will
have a natural gas supply with lab nipples and on/off valves so we can use the gas to heat wax and work with the
dentures. The gas nipples need to be located 3' front each bench end.
D) This counter is a standing counter at 3' 4" height and is approximately 6' long.
****All of the counter areas in the lab need not be presentable to the public, only functional - so used material and
exposed wiring, piping or other materials is OK!!
2- The walls marked as solid wall will need to extend to the ceiling to block out sound and smells.
The walls that are drawn as dotted can be the divider material and extend only 7 to 8 feet high.
3- Will the enclosing of the lab area in walls that extend to the ceiling create a problem for the heating and cooling
system?
4- The thermosta, will need to be moved out of the lab area into the hallway so as to better respond to the temperature
of the greater room area.
