Other cells shall be solidly filled as noted on the <br />drawings. <br />DIVISIOTI 5. NETAI.S <br />A. Me+cal Roof Geck <br />1., Roof deck shall be H.H. Robertson Section 5-7.5, 16 gauge <br />or equal. Metal shall be galvanized to ASTM A525 <br />(latest). Material shall be 16 gauge steel. <br />2. Welding: Shall be done by certified welder. Deck shall <br />be welded to 1/4" flat bar around the perimeter of the <br />building to withstand shear forces. Deck sections sha?' <br />also be w�lded together to withstand these foroes. The <br />required weldir.g type, size and spacing shall be designed <br />by the decking manufacturer. welds shall be wire brushed <br />and painted with metal primer. <br />3. The vertical portion (or web) of the roo: deck panel <br />shall be perpendicular (90° angle) to the horizontal deck <br />portion and the bottom fl�nge aln�g the full length of <br />the panel. Panels which do not meet ths requirement <br />shall noi be erected and shall be re�ected. <br />4. Design and Codes: Decking shall be manutactured <br />according to American Iron and Steel Institute <br />"Specifications for Design of Light Gauge Structural <br />Members", latest edition. Maximum deflection shall be <br />1/240 of span length. The maximum fiber stress shall not <br />exceed 20,000 psi. <br />5. The Contractor shal� submit L-hree (3) copies of complete, <br />checked, manufacturer's installation drawings and bills <br />of material for the roof decking, to the Puget Sound <br />Power and Light Company, TSD Engineering Department for <br />approval prior to shipment Y.o the jobsite. <br />B.
