Mukilteo Blvd. <br />C0106-027 <br />In response to your application for a construction permit, your plans have been examined and <br />you are advised that the issuance of a permit is being withheld for the reasons listed below. <br />These comments address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be <br />required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br />1997 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State <br />Energy Code 1997 Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be <br />necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of <br />drawings reflecting the corrections requested. <br />1. Submit plans for replacing existing concrete retaining wall. Verify through Planning <br />Department that retaining wall at this location is in compliance with the zoning code. <br />2. Decks are limited to a maximum of 36" above the finished grade when located in a <br />required side yard setback/39.150 Zoning Code. Revise site plan to show new <br />configuration. <br />3. Below grade walls in conditioned spaces are required to be insulated with R-19 <br />insulation. Thl 6-2 WSEC <br />4. All glazing in hazardous locations as defined in Section 2406 UBC shall be tempered <br />glass or safety glazing. Show on plans. <br />5. Provide detail of brick veneer show requirements of Section 1403.6 UBC <br />6. Show requirements of Washington State Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code on <br />plans. <br />7. Provide energy code compliance worksheet for addition. Show how addition complies <br />with the requirements of the energy code. If the addition cannot meet the requirements <br />of the energy code, specify what improvements are being made to the existing <br />structure to bring the addition into compliance. Use approved WSEC forms for all <br />calcs. <br />8. Provide window schedule.
