Presented in this report are our findings. conclusion and recommendations. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Our proposed scope of services for the geotechnical engineering study comprises specifically the <br />following: <br />1. Review geologic and soil conditions at and in the vicinity of the subject plat site based on <br />a published geologic map. <br />2. Explore subsurface (soil and groundwater) conditions of the site with backhoe test pits up <br />to about 8 feet deep. <br />3. Perform necessary geotechnical engineering analysis based on soil data obtained from the <br />test pits. <br />4. Prepare a N ritten report to present our findings, conclusions and geotechnical <br />recommendations. <br />A geotechnical staff from our office was on site to direct the subsurface exploration program, and <br />examined the soil and geologic conditions encountered and maintained logs of the test pits. <br />SITE CONDITIONS <br />SURFACE CONDITIONS <br />The general location of the subject plat site is shown on Plate 1 — Vicinity Map. It is situated on <br />the western fringe of a northerly trending ridge. To the west of this ridge is a moderate to steep, <br />westerly -declining hillside.
