percent of the growing season are non-wetlands." �ield indicators were used to <br /> determine whether wetland hydrology parameters were met on this site. <br /> BOUNDARY DETERMINATION FINDINGS <br /> Wetlands were classified according to the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) <br /> system (Cowardin et al., 1979) and rated, by categories, according to the Washington <br /> State Department of Ecology Washington State wetland rating system fo�� western <br /> Washington-Revised. <br /> Buffers are determined by City of Everett Critical Areas Reguiations, Title 19, Chapter <br /> 37. <br /> Wetland <br /> HGM Class: Riverine <br /> Cowardin: Palustrine, Forested Wetland, Seasonally Flooded /Saturated. <br /> Ecology Rating: Category II <br /> City of Everett Rating: Category II, 75' Buffer <br /> Located east of the subject property, this riverine wetland is associated with Seahurst <br /> Glenhaven Creek and received a total score for functions of 59 with a habitat score of <br /> 17 on the DOE Wetland Rating Form for Western Washington (Version 2). Wetlands <br /> with scores between 51 and S9 points for all functions are classified as Category II <br /> wetlands, per EMC 19.37.11J. In the City of Everett, Category II wetlands with habitat <br /> scores of less than 19 points typically receive 75-foot protective buffers from their <br /> delineated edge. <br /> Adjacent to the sunbject property, vegetation in the wetland is represented by a canopy <br /> of red alder (Alnus rubra, Fac) with salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis, Fac+), Himalayan <br /> blackberry (Rubus armeniacus, FacU), Stink Currant (Ribes bracteosum, Fac+), lady <br /> fern (Athyrium (lix-femina, Fac), and skunk cabbage (Lysichiton americanum, Obl). <br /> Soils in this wetland have a Munsell color of biack (10YR 2/1) with a texture of silt loam <br /> from 0 to 18 inches below the surface. Soils were moist duting our September 2011 site <br /> visit. <br /> The off-site portion of the buffer of this wetland (approximately 2� feet wide) is <br /> represented by red alder (Alnus rubra, Fac), salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis, Fac+), <br /> Himalayan blackberry (Rubus armeniacus, FacU), thimbelberry (Rubus parviflorus, <br /> Fac), Sitka mountain ash (Sorbus sitchensis, FacU), dewberry (Rubus ursinus, FacU), <br /> sword fern (Polystichum munitum, FacU), and large-ieaved avens (Geum <br /> macrophyllum. Fac+).
