If my information is correct, since those standards are available, we are therefore ir� the necessary position to request the questioned units to meet those standards. To assure the units meet the require- ments and are manufactured and used according to acceptable intent, they would have to bear the proper identified listing. If, by reason of expediency, one desires to consider the installation for connection on a trial or interim basis, and if all �lse seems to be in "Code" arrangement, it might be considered to accept then on special terms. At times we accept such installations if the manufacturer submits the product to a nationally recognized testing laboratory and turthei provides the lab with permission to notify us of the test results. This, plus the assurance any item found deficient in the product by the testing group will be quickly attended by the manufacturer, usually permits the work of construction to proceed and yet assur�� safety in the use of such electrical equipment.
