i
Initial contact r+ith the Snohomish Public Utility Distric[ has been
made as to tl scope and loca[ion of our Proposal. Their immediate
response was that system capacity will not be a problem bec:ause of
thei_ plans to increase their transformer capaci[y in the area in
order to satisfy [he needs of the Boeing expansion. They Eeel that
this new sub-station capacity will be of sufficient size [o satisy our
total energy needs.
As oir plans become more solid, and when drawings along with actual
electrical J.oads can be identified, the P.U.D. will then prepare an
officisl response.
'LI-16-b Counication systems will be provided by the General Telephone Company.
Our brief discussions with the telephone planners indicate [}iat sufficien[
capacities are being planned to accommodate the Boeing expansion and
[hat the residual capacity of their new equipment will be moxe than
adequate for our needs.
II-16-c Preliminary inquiries with Mr. Hagland of the City of Everett, Public
Works Department, indicates that for our initial three to four year
water requirement the existing system is capable of supplying cur needs.
However, our long range requirements will require additional storage
capacity in [he system. The City is currently developing long range
plans to provide additional storage capacity for this area. The long
range water needs for our future development will be discussed in detail
during tlie preparation and revieu of our long range plan for this site.
ilater needs for Phase I are estimated at 100,00 C.F./month.
II-16-d Our Proposal is to connect to the existing 24 inch main sewer line at
Powder Mill Gulch. All connecting feeder lines will be installed per
the Public Works Depar[ment recommendations. Our initial Phase I
developmen[ will not include any water using manufactur:ng procasses.
During the operation of our Phase I planning, there would nor. be a need
for extensive industrial waste water discharge such as we presently
u[iliie at our Evergreen SJay facility. Projected quantities of waste
water are shown in [t.e aUove section of this report. However, a small
neutralization facility will be utilized by uur Flke Laboratory B.ilding
for the purposc of neutralizing the acidity of va[ers used during
laboratory testing.
II-16-e All storm drainage systems along with retention pond as required, will
be installed per the new City Drainage Ordinance.
II-16-f All sol.id waste will be disposed of Uy means of private contract with
established firms doing business in the City of Evere[t.
-$-
v
