3.G3 FILL <br /> A. General: Preparation for fill: Remove debris and decayable motter from <br /> areas to be filled. <br /> f3. Siructural Fill: <br /> I. General: All fills shown, other than on drawinq 1.1.4, "Excess Material <br /> Mounding Plan," shall be placed as siructural fill. <br /> 2. Preparation: After completion of site clearing, ihe area to be filled <br /> shall be proof-rolled under ihe direction of ihe Special Inspector to <br /> iocate soft areas and to prepare fhe base for ihe siructural fill. AIl <br /> soft areos shall be overexcavated to suiToble ground and all fills <br /> benched into the existi,nc�grovnd to the satisfaction of the special <br /> inspector. <br /> 3. Materiol: On-site excaveted material shall be used for siructural fill <br /> only if it can be placed and compacted when its moisture content is <br /> within 2°Fi of opiimum. The Special Inspector shall be notified if <br /> conditions do not permit placing and cornpaction with the moisture <br /> contenT in the plus/minus 2°6 range. <br /> Ail sfructural fill material should be free of debris, organic contam- <br /> inaris and rock fragmenis larger than 6 inches. Pariicle sizes larger <br /> than 3 inchc�s should be excluded from the top fooT of fill. <br /> 5. The pond "B" liner material shall be consiructed of weathered or <br /> unweothered till from ihe site. This material shall be compacted as <br /> 02200-3 <br /> 8301 � <br />
