Description Of Work: The extent of ihe water disiribution system is shown on the plans and consisis of connecting to the existing 12" water line at the existing building ond ihe 12" water line stub on ihe souTh side of Seaway Blvd. exitinq ihe south end of ihe water meter vault, and installing the service line oround the building with the fire hydrants and fire protection lines to ihe new building. All work within the Seaway Blvd. right-of-way, including ihe fire hydrant relocation and the installation of ihe vault and meters and i in inside ihe vau t, shol be by ity o verett orces. 1.02 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Standard Specifications: The "City of E��erett Design and Constr�ction Standards and Specificotions," dated April 25, 1984, shall apply unless modified herein. PART 2- MATERIALS 2.01 DUCTILE IRON PIPE A. Ductile iron pipe shali conform to ASA Specifications A21.51 -1971 (AWWA C I 51-71) Grade 60-42-10. B. Ductile iron pipe shall be cement-lined and sealed in accordance with ASA Specification A21.4-1964 (AWWA C104-64). I C. The pipe joints shall conform �o ASA Specification A21.1I-1964 (AWWA C I I I-4). Pipe joinis shall be "Tyton" joinis. D. Pipe thickness shall be Class 52. 2.02 GATE VALVES A. All gate valves for water rnains shall conform to The Stondards of AVJWA CS00-61 for double disc, parallel s�at, "0" ring stem seal, non-rising stam and shali open by turning counier- clockwise the 2-inch square opening nut.
