This project will create 7.65 acres of wetlands, and enhance approximatdy 13 acrcs of wetland •buffer on a 46 acre parcel of property to provide mitigation crtdits for developmmt impacts on Airport property. Enhancements will create open vate��, emergent marsh, sh�ub-scrub, end forested wetland ryprs. Most of the 611 currendy existing on the site will be removed and some of the upland arees wila be accavated to croate wetlands. M environmental education park will be constructed after the mitigation requircments are completai. The education and recreation facilities will consist uf: a lean-to interpretive shelter with signage; an amphitheater for environmental education, a.25 mile loop trail at the north rnd of the property; and a 1.5 mile pedestrian/jogging trail will be built along the perimeter of the site. A greenhouse will be constructed and used by voluntcer goups for a plant salvage operation and to propagate wetland plants. 12. Location of the propoial.
