I recognize that some of the park improvemenu have not been complete�and wili <br /> be ultimately inspected and approved by the appropriate Ciry Departmerns. This letier addressa the <br /> City's rccommendation end concems regarding the approval of the as-builts and release of 50'/e of the <br /> wetland bank credits associated with the Nerbeck Wetland bank. <br /> Const�uction of the Nazbeck Wetland bank appeers to have procceded on a smootha track than tMe <br /> Swanson project. I am pleased with the vast majority of the improvements mede to the site(including the <br /> park improvements). There are a few concerns that we would appreciate a response on prior to your <br /> cectifying release of the credits. Some of these issuea were raised and answered or committed to at the <br /> Oversight Committee meeting. Our concems are as follows: <br /> I. Any photos used in future monitoring documents should be dated. We will note in our copies that all <br /> of the photos in the As-Built Report were taken in January 1999. <br /> 2. The Airport committed to supplementing the plantings in the southwest buffer area as recommended <br /> by the Corp. We concur in that requirement. <br /> 3. Water quality monitoring of nutrients shall include appropriete phosphorous and nitrogen compounds. <br /> 4. The Airport or their contractor is committed to watering of new plantings as required by conditions on <br /> the site. <br /> 5. Additionat vegetation should bc installed along Na�-!:eck Creek as it exits the site. This wuld be pert <br /> of the Sabey stormwater pipe project or if that does not progress in a timely manner, the vegetation <br /> should be installed this winter. <br /> 6. Liz Greenhagen or I should be notified in advance of the expected date when the "leaky berm"will be <br /> activated.
