b) A community based selection committee will be formed to select artists and review <br /> ongoing Everett Station art projects. Committee representatives should include an <br /> Everett City Councilmember, an Everett Cultural Commission member, an artist with <br /> experience in design team and transit art projects, a citizen from the Office of <br /> Neighborhoods' Association, Sound Transit,the consulting project architect for <br /> Everett Station, a representative from the Chamber of Commerce, the Everett Station <br /> project manager and Public Art Coordinator for the City of Everett; <br /> c) The selection committee will recommend artists to the City Council for public art <br /> design contracts; <br /> d) Artists shall submit their 30 percent and 60 percent designs for review and approval <br /> based on the following process: <br /> - review and approval by the community based selection committee; <br /> - review and approval by the public art subcommittee; <br /> - review and approval by the Everett Cultural Commission; <br /> - review and approval by the Everett City Council. <br /> e) Following 60 percent design approval, 1) artist contracts will be amended to include <br /> art work fabrication and 2) contracts will be awarded for the purchase and/or <br /> commissioning of 2-Dimensional art works. <br /> • 1 — <br /> ouncilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 26th day of May , 1999 <br /> ouncil President <br />
