• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4744 <br /> A RESOLUTION finding as satisfactory, alternative number one, for the relocation <br /> of the existing "Team Track" located on the site selected by the Everett City Council <br /> for the development of Everett's Multi-Modal Transportation Center. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council approved Resolution 4140 on July 19, 1995 <br /> selecting alternative site A (attachment one) as the preferred site for the development of <br /> Everett's Multi-Modal Transportation Center (now referred to as Everett Station); and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution number 4140 directed city staff to proceed with the development <br /> of Everett Station; and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution number 4140 also directed staff to work with the railroad to <br /> relocate the team track to the satisfaction of the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff has worked with the railroad and users of the team track to identify <br /> possible locations for its relocation; and <br /> WHEREAS, five (5) candidate sites were identified for evaluation; and <br /> WHEREAS, Everett Station's design team has worked with the city, team track users, <br /> and the railroad in evaluating the candidate sites; and <br /> WHEREAS, the evaluation identified the technical feasibility, costs and ability for <br /> current team track users to maintain their accessibility to a relocated team track; and <br /> WHEREAS, city staff has identified alternative number one (attachment two) (generally <br /> bounded on the north by Pacific Avenue, on the west by the Burlington Northern Santa <br /> Fe Sealine, on the south by 33`d street if the 33`d street right of way extended east to the <br /> Burlington Northern Santa Fe right of way, and on the east by the Burlington Northern <br /> Santa Fe "NP Line")as the alternative that best meets the needs of team track users and <br /> the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad; and <br /> WHEREAS, the cost to design and construct a new team track will be the responsibility <br /> of the Everett Station project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the team track will need to be relocated prior to site demolition work on the <br /> parcels where the current team track is located. <br /> 1 <br />
