FIRE t4AR5HA � GITY OF everett �t.�� ,�,��.�,`,,;��, � � � , ... � On April 20, 1983, our department sent a fire inspection letter to the Bon Parking Garage. Among the items cited as violations was illegal storage of combustibles in the west end of the lowest level. This inspection was conducted by Captain Bert Albert. A reinspection letter was sent on May 16, 1983, also noting this storage. And again, on June 13, 1983. All By Captain Albert. On July 6, 1983, a letter was sent again. This time over the signature of Ron Collins, one of my Inspectors. One day last week I received a call from the Don with a question about aisleways in the storage areas. I was not familiar with the area, so I suggested an on-site inspection. What I discovered on a�"ival was a rude awakening. The area in the far west end of the lowest level of the garage had been partitioned off and was bein9 used for storage of display and decorative materials. Most of it is combustible. The total area is 6,000 syuare feet +. About 1500 square feet of the north section has been partitioned off by a piywood wall. A woodworking area is also set up. No legal exi�s. Only two roll-up doors. The man I talked to said that Ron had told hini only to "clean it up and provide aisleways", which they were just starting to do.
