Fire Sprinkler Alternative (Sec. 1807) <br />The Wall Street Building is designed to comply with the fire sprinkler <br />alternative which allows several conditions including: <br />A. Smoke proof stair vestibules are to be eliminated throughout the <br />building as stairways will be pressurized to .15 inch of water <br />column. <br />B. Corridor walls surrounding the typical floor core to be non-combust- <br />ible construction without a fire resistive time period. <br />C. Stair"A" may exit through ground floor lobby on a fully sprinklered <br />floor with lobby walls to be non-combustible construction without a <br />fire -resistive time period. Doors also opening into this lobby to be <br />without a fire resistive time period. <br />2. Stairways <br />A. Both stair "A" and "B" will be pressurized to .15 inches of water <br />column. <br />3. Exit corridor at ground floor from stair "B". <br />A. The walls and ceiling of this exit corridor will be 2-hour fire <br />resistive construction with 1-1/2 doors. <br />B. This exit corridor need not be pressurized. <br />C.
