NOTICE OF DECISION <br />SPECIAL PROPERTY USE PERMIT <br />SPU #03-001 <br />Description of Proposal: Conversion of a single-family residence ir.to a church related building. <br />The First Baptist Church owns the subject structure as well as the neighboring parking lot, ard the <br />facility on the west side uf Wetmore Avenue. The applicants are proposing to remodel the single- <br />family residence in order to accommodate church related activities. <br />Applicant: First Baptist Church — Bryan Blair <br />1616 Pacific Avenue <br />Everett, WA 98201 <br />Locatton: 3131 Wetmore Avenue <br />Zoning: R-5-O Core Residential w/ O�ce Overlay <br />Generel Plan: 2.6 Professional Office, Multiple Family <br />Contact Person: Becky Fauver —(425) 257-7281 <br />SPECIAL PROPERTY USE GENERAL EVALUATION CRITERIA <br />Findings and Conclustons: <br />The following findings and conclusions are based on the criteria established in Section 41.150.C. of <br />the Zoning Code - Special Property Use Permits: <br />1. The need of the neighborhood, dfstrict, or Ciry for a proposed special property use. <br />Ftnding: The church facility will provide a place to congregate and worship for residents of <br />the community. A previous structure located on the west side of Wetmore Avenue was <br />used by the church for a similar purpose, however the structure was demolished after it <br />suffered damage from the Nisqually earthqua;ce. <br />Conclusion: The proposed i�se provides a public benefit. <br />2. The adequacy of streets, utilities and public services requfred to serve a proposed <br />use. <br />Finding: The site is presently accessed by existing streets and served by existing public <br />utilities. <br />� 2930 Nctn:orc.
