REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL <br />IN <br />RESPONSE TO CITIZEN QUESTION <br />BY <br />CRAIG HUL�T <br />September 14, 1988 <br />HISTORY OF SUILDINGS: <br />There are two buildings on Lots 1 and 2, Block 766, Plat of <br />Everett, (see Exhibit 1) the property in question, which is <br />owned by Snohomish County Board of Realtors. Both buildings <br />were constructed as single faml�y residences in the early 1900's <br />(see Exhibit 2). <br />ZONING:, <br />The zoning is R-5, Core Area Residential. This zoning permits <br />residential uses, pr�fessional offices, and mixed uses. The <br />mixed use would allow retail businesses and services serving <br />primarily the residents of th� neighborho�= as an accessory use <br />in a residential mixed use project if the property is on an <br />arterial street and as lonq as the gross floor area of the <br />combined retail uses does not exceed twenty-five percent of the <br />total qross floor area of the structure (see Exhibit 3). <br />DESCRI�'TION OF BUILnINGS AND USES: <br />i��0 32nd: The main floor and a portion of the basement are <br />currently occupied as a residence by Mr. and Mrs. Hulet. The <br />remainder of the bnsement (the former qarage) is used as office <br />epace by Senator Vognild, and the second floor is occupied as a <br />dwelling unit. <br />The structure was originally constructed as a single family <br />residence and therc: are no building permits in file to indicate <br />when the number of dwelling units was increased. Senatcr <br />Vognild beqan using the qarage as office space when he was a <br />resident in the �uildinq in the early 1980's and has continued <br />to use the space for his office since he moved out of the <br />residential unit. <br />The property was purchased by Snohomish County-Camano Board of <br />Realtors in 1986 (see Exhibit 4). <br />
