G. TIMBER FRAMING <br />1. All lumber to be graded ler Book No. 16 of the West Coast <br />Lumber Inspection Bureau: <br />HF No. 1 or DF No. 2 for joists, rafters and light framing, <br />plates bracing and 4" wide b%ams. <br />DF No. 1 for posts and other beams., <br />HF No. 2 "Stud" for studs. <br />2. Comply with latest edition of the N.FBPCA."National <br />Design <br />Specifications as modified by <br />the uctural <br />timber requirements. <br />3. Joists and rafters to have 2" thick solid blocking at supports. <br />4. Spike all laminated members together with lod nails @ 12" o.c. <br />staggered. Splice laminations at supports only. <br />5. Provide cut washers for all bolts and nuts bearing on wood. <br />6. All nails shall be common wire nails. <br />7. Glue -laminated t.mbers, Douglas Fir, A.I.T.C. grading: <br />combination 22F; dry condition of use. <br />industrial appearance grade. <br />Fabricating plant A.I.T.C. inspected. <br />Wrap individual members. <br />Submit shop drawings for approval prior to fabrication. <br />8. plywood: _ glue, <br />Roof sheathing to be 1/clip atimidspan. with <br />dlnailing <br />P.I. 32/16 with one e plyclip 10d @ 12" o.c. at intermediate <br />lOd @ 6" o.c. at panel edges, <br />supports. <br />9. Floor sheathing 3/4" T1odG@C6" 9 panel edges, 10d @110" at <br />P.I. 48/24. Nailing: <br />intermediate supports. <br />10. Pre -fabricated trussed members to be designed by a Washington <br />__State licensed enginer and in acco drawings <br />fabrication.approval priornce with the toe <br />shown.
