These comments <br />address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required My other departments (such <br />as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1994 Uniform Building Code, as atnended by <br />the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1995 Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Divis�on w�th two c��m�lete new sets ot�drawings reflecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />The structure as submitted exceeds the allowable area for glazing by the prescriptive <br />requirert�ents of Chapter 6. of the Washington State Energy Code (WSEC). <br />The �lazing should be reprPsented as a percentage of the heated floor area. All windows, <br />doors �vith, more than 50% glazing, and skylights are required to be considered. <br />The additicn has a total of 389 sq. ft. There are 249` sq. ft. of windows and doors and <br />skylights which equates to 64% glazing. You can keep the glass that you have, but you <br />will need to complete a component performance calculation worksheet and you may be <br />required to update insulation or windows in the existing structure. <br />2.
