I am pleased that Rodger was able to be there
during the inspection (again. I am sorry he got hit with my clipboard). I
am glad that we had a chance to discuss some of the findings. The
questions and the discussions after the inspection was complete make me
feel that he has a basic understanding of the conditions found and the
enclosed report.
The report is prepzred to stand alone. The report uses three action terms:
recommend, consider and suggest. When we "recommend" an action, we believe
that it is in your best interest from an economic or safety standpoint and
though the decisian is yours, we believe you should do it. The word
"consider" is used when we feel the action is less important but is in your
best interest in the long term. And finally. "suggest" is used to convey
an idea that we think is worth your knowing about.
Nearly no house meets all current code requirements, even brand new ones.
Seldom is tne code retro—active. Code requirements are cited to help you
get a better idea of what today's standards are and as basis for making
your decisions.
The report is supposed to be in common terms. Sometimes what I think is
common is not common at all. If there is a statement, term, a question or
something you aren't sure of, please call.
Again, thank you.
LBH/w
ly
as
