ADUs that are detached from the principal dwelling are not allowed in <br /> single family zones, except within Historic Overlay zones,where they are regulated as "infill dwelling <br /> units." <br /> The Planning Commission has initiated consideration of a code amendment to allow detached ADUs in <br /> single family zones.
