These <br /> comments address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br /> departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1994 Uniform <br /> Bwlding Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington Statc Energy Code <br /> 1995 Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of yonr application to wntinue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Divis�on with two complete new sets of drawings retlecting <br /> fhe corrections requested. <br /> 1. In bedroom(s) provide one openable window meeting all of the following (310.4): <br /> a. An openable area of not less than 5.7 square feet. <br /> b. A minimum clear height of 24". <br /> c. A minimum clear width of 20". <br /> 2. Doors cannot swing over stairs (at piano room). Section 1004.9, Exception 1.1. <br /> 3. Provide liandrail per Section 1006.9 UBC at stairs in piano room. <br /> 4. Provide smoke detector in guest bedroom and in the corridor or uea giving access i <br /> to each separate sleeping area. (310.9 UBC) <br /> 5. Provide minimum 36" landing not more than 1" below the finished floor at exterior <br /> entrance/exit when doors swing out (if door swings in, required landing may be not <br /> more than 8" below the finished floor). 1004.9 and 1004.10 UBC <br /> 6. Specify roof siope(s) of all areas on the roof plan and elevation views. <br /> 7. Specify approved weatherproof materials at decks and balconies.
