Specify on the plans which whole house ventilation system is used, single whole <br /> house exhaust fan, combined source specific fans for whole housc exhaust, <br /> integration with forced-air systems or dedicated heat recovery.ventilation system. <br /> 31. The whole house system must be capable of providing at least 0.35 air changes per <br /> hour but not less than 15 cubic fcet per minute. Indicate the minimum cfm of the <br /> system on the plans. <br /> 32. Outdoor air is required to be supplied to all habitable rooms for all whole house <br /> ventilation syctems. Specify the type of outdoor air system including individual <br /> outdoor air inlets, forced-air heating system, ducting or equivalent means. <br /> 33. Note on the plans that corridor air inlets shall not be placed in the following <br /> locations: <br /> a. Closer than 10' from an appliance vent outlet, unless such vent outlet is 3' <br /> above the outdoor air inlet. <br /> b. Where it a•ill pick up objectionable odors, fumes or flammable vapors. <br /> c. A ha-rardous or unsanitary location. <br /> d. A room or space having any fuel-buming appliances. <br /> 34. Note on the drawings that all structuraf panel components of the house such as <br /> softwood, plywood, particle board, wafer board and oriented stand boazd shall be <br /> identified as "EXPOSURE 1", "EXTERIOR" or "HUD-APPROVED". 400.1 <br /> 35. Specify on the plans that all solid fuel burning appliances shall be provided with the <br /> following: <br /> a. Tight fitting glass or metal doors. <br /> b. An outside source of combustion air directly connected to the firebox, or <br /> tested and listed per HUD carbon monoxide performance requirements. <br /> 36. Note on the plans that the builder shall provide a three month etched tract radon <br /> monitor, installalion instructions and radon information sheets at the final <br /> inspection. <br /> Prepare a response letter showing where each item in this correction letter is addressed on the plan <br /> set. <br />
