Development plans include the removal of a conc[ete <br /> stoop and construction of a aew covered deck on the noRh side of the existing residence. You have <br /> requested thet we explore the subsurFace condiaons in the erea of the planned dock and provide <br /> geotechnical recommendations for the new dxk foundations. Far our use in prepazing this letter,we 6ave <br /> been provided with plan sheets 1 through 5 titled "Deck and Cover — Steve Layman," dated April 30, <br /> 2010;by Design Lines. <br /> We understand that ihe deck foundation will consist of shallow spread footings and will extend 12 feet <br /> north of the north wall of the residence. A new concrete patio will extend another eight fat no[th of the <br /> new dxk. The deck foundations will be at least 55 fed from ibe top of the stup north-facing slope. <br /> �, �� <br />
