Spccifically, our scope of services includes the <br /> following: <br /> I. Review gwlogic maps of the xiea. <br /> 2. Explors the subsurface soil and groundwater conditions within the site with hand-tool <br /> explorations. <br /> 3. Provide our opinion regarding the proposed deck addition placement. <br /> 4. Map the conditions on the slope and evaluate current slop�stability conditions. <br /> 5. Provide recommendations for slope and setback pcotection. <br /> 6. Provide recommendetions for site drainage and erosion control. <br /> 7. Document the resulta of our findings, conclusions, and recommendations in a written <br /> geotechnical letter. <br /> SITE CONDITIONS <br /> Surface CondlBons <br /> The sito is an irregularly shaped parcel covering approximately 1.8 acres. The property is borde�cd to t6e <br /> north by Burlington Northem & Santa Fc Railroad, to the south by Shoro Avenue, end to 1Le east end <br /> west by residential propeRies. The property is situated on a grnUe to steep north-facing slopc <br /> overlooldng Possession Sound. <br /> A single-family residence with a detached gatage, a shed, and a driveway access frem Shore Avenue <br /> curtr.ntly occupy the property. The site layout is shown on the Schecnstic Site Plan in Figure 2. Plauting <br /> beds and lawn areas swtound the housc. The steep slope oa the north side of the propecty is <br /> approximately 100 fat in height and 6as an overall inclination of about 40 to 45 degrees (84 to 100 <br /> percent) down to the north, as shown on Cross-section A-A' in Figure 3. The slope is vegetated with <br /> scattered alders,blackberry bushes,underbnish and grass. <br /> Wc did not o6serve surface water on siu or seepage on the slope during our visit on May I1, 2010, <br /> although the sie� is thickly vegetated.
