. � � �� ( <br /> Landscape modifications may be approved if the applicant proposes altemative landscaping that would <br /> achieve the intent and pucpose of the landscaping required in this Ordinancc and in which the Planning <br /> llirector determines to"provide superior quality through the use of native vegetation existing on the site, <br /> preservation of groves of trees,preservation of wetlands and/or wildlife habitat, increasing perimeter <br /> landscape width in strategic locat�ons,providing unique focal points of interest, or through other mcans." <br /> Also, landscaping may be modifie.'.when existing site conditions would render the landscaping <br /> requirements ineffective. <br /> The proposed landscape plan compensates for elimination of a portion of the landscaping along Hazdeson '� <br /> Road adjacent to several existing utility facilities by the provision af additional evergreen landscaping <br /> behind the utilities and shrubs at each end of the utilities. Fifteen feet of Typc I landscaping is proposed � <br /> along the southerly interior property line where a significant topographic difference would make the fence <br /> ineffective.
