Tlie sitc is locatcd immediately soulh of Slmksan Way and cast of Hardeson Road in <br /> south E��crctt. Tlie location of thc site and the proposed facility are sho�rn in fieures I and 2. <br /> Vicinity Map and Site Plan. respectivcly. We completed a Phase 1 Gm�ironmental Sitc ASSCSS�11CIlI <br /> for the site,and the results are presented in our rcpon dated April 20.2001. <br /> �. <br /> 1.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> ` Our understanding of the project is based m information provided b��Sierra Construction and <br /> 1 ` <br /> AHBL, Inc. The infomiation includes a preliminary site plan and building layout. The JanSport <br /> I facilit�� will be constructed on Lots 1 and 2 (approximately 10 acres) of the Mountain View <br /> Business Cemer. The JanSport faciliry ���ill consist of an approaimate 200,500-square-foot (s� <br /> concrete tiltup building huving a clear height of 30 fcet. Tlie finish tloor will be at Elevation 435.6 <br /> I fect. VVe understand that a cut on the order of IG feet will be requircd near the southeast comer of <br /> the property to achieve desien grades. In addition, fills on the order of 6 to 8 feet decp are necded <br /> �} on the west side of the site to acliicve grade. The building will be surrounded with paved parking <br /> areas,access driveways and landscaped arcas. <br /> Structural loading information for the building �vas provided by ]im Carleron of AHDL, Inc. <br /> f The column and loading configuration consists of interior columns spaced on 40 by 53-foot ba��s <br /> �ti ith loads of 100 kips each. The proposed building will have e�terior�+�al l loads of 4 kips per lineal <br /> foot with an additionnl 50 kip load at perimeter columns. We understand tliat the wall footines�vill <br /> � be at least 3 fcet wide. The preliminary layout of the ���all and column footings is sho��n in <br /> Figure 3. The foundation la��out was taken from the drawing titled "Mm. Vicw Business Center, <br /> ( Lot 1, Division 2 - Buildine Site Plan" dated April 16, 2001, by AHBL, inc. We understand that <br /> � the desien floor loads for d±e proposed faciliry will be 300 pounds per square foot(ps�. <br /> VI'e understand iliat stortnu�ater will be collected in a detention vault located under the parking <br /> � lot on the�vest side of the building. At this time,the vault is pinnned to be 145 feet long by 26 feet <br /> w�ide witii 8-foot inrerior�1�alls. 71ie vault will be either cast-in-place or the footings will be casc-in- <br /> � place and the���alls precast and tilted up. The top of the vault will be at about Elevation 429 fee4 <br /> approximately 4 to 5 fcet below the parking lot sudace. The �•ault will be designed for an HS-20 <br /> truckload. The bottom of the vault will be open and at Elevation 420 feeL The vault will be <br /> ( supported on spread foundntions.
