August 7, 2013 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., August 7, 2013, in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall, Council President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found <br /> that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, <br /> Bader, Stonecipher, and Affholter were present. Council Member Gipson <br /> was excused. <br /> Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 31, 2013, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Members Roberts and Affholter abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson stated that the National Night Out Against Crime <br /> events last night were a great success. He thanked citizens, staff, and <br /> neighborhood leaders for their participation. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members Bader, Murphy, Roberts, and Moore reported that they <br /> enjoyed the National Night Out activities and thanked the neighborhood <br /> leaders and city departments for their involvement. <br /> Council Member Roberts commented on items to consider as the city <br /> moves forward with the Comprehensive Plan update, which must be <br /> adopted by June 30, 2015. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher requested a future update by Planning staff <br /> on the Comprehensive Plan. Debra Bryant, CAO/CFO, stated she would <br /> work with the Planning Director Allan Giffen to coordinate a briefing for <br /> council members. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The City Attorney had no comments. <br /> 214 <br />
