The application is for the approval of a Special Property Use Permit to <br /> conetruct a 100 bed ehelter for single homelesa men and a day center to <br /> sei•ve homelesa and low income men, �aomen, and children. The proposed <br /> buflding will be a three—atory, 21,000 aquare foot atructure that rrill <br /> be located at 3711 S�ith Street, Everett, Washington. <br /> 2. The proposal has been reviewed pursuant to the provislone of the Everett <br /> Municipal Code, Chapter 19.58. Th1e is the old Zoning Code which wae in <br /> effect at the time the application wae filed. The Applicant hae a <br /> veeted intereat under thle code. <br /> 3. A Special Property Use Permit is required pursuant to the provisio¢s of <br /> EMC 19.58.O10.C.2. <br /> 4. In order for a Special Property Use Permit to be granted, the criteria <br /> and guidelines ae set Forth in EMC 19.58.O10.B(1-3) must be eatisfied. <br /> With conditions, theae criteria are satiafied. <br /> 5. The proposed use as a homeleea ehelter rill be reasonably compatible <br /> with other uses and potential usee rrithin the general area in xhich it <br /> ia located. The compatibility will be With the ezieting industrial and <br /> commerclal development a¢d the general, central location of the propoaed <br /> facility. <br /> 6. The requeated use will noC have a serious adverae effect on the ecology <br /> and/or envirooment of the community. <br /> 7. Becauae of the need for additional facilities to provlde for the <br /> homelees, the propoeal of the Applicant ia a necesaity for [he City of <br /> Everett.
