Cover sheet - location map shows work extending to I-5 bridge?
Response: This map is to assist the Contractor in finding the site and
is not meant to define the limits of work.
B. L-1 - A 4' yravel shoulder should be provided on both sides of the
relocated roadway around the proposed boathouse.
Response: This is a temporary relocation on park property and Parks
Department would prefer to see grass at the edge of pavement over a firm
base material .
C. L-3 - Install floatable material separators per City standards
Response: Will comply.
D. L-4 - Show new 48" outfall piping and diffuser, 10' diameter manhole
and vault where it crosses the wate'•front trail and coordinate
pavement grades.
Response: Will comoly•
E. L-5
1. Water pressure is very high in this location. PUC should not
be used. Civil engineer's stanp is requireA.
Response: A PRV will be included. Phase I park development used PUC
pipe. Pressure specificatios fer piping will not be exceeded.
Landscape architectural , architectural , civil engineering or structural
engineering stamps are provided as required.
2. Backflow prevention required on irrigation system prior to
acceptance and operation.
Response: Phase II irrigation is an extension of Phase I existing system
which is equipped with back flow preventer. The boathouse water service
will require protection in the future when additional irrigation is
connected to this line. A 2" blow out will be provided at the capped end
of this line in Phase II.
F. L-6
1. Backflow prevention required on irrigation.
Response: See response to comment E.2. above.
2. Move irrigation main line from under riprap.
Kesponse: Will comply.
To the best of my knowledge the above list represents the comments on the
marY.ed up set of Public Works revieo drawings sent to us on January 30, 1990
by Larry Crawford.
Sincerely,
 C
Ed MacLeod
Principal
EM:kc
