PORT OF EVERETT <br />UNION SLOUGH MARSH MITIGATION <br />' :17\:iliQtl�►1� 11 <br />[7 <br />SECTION INCLUDES <br />SECTION 01030 <br />F[ELD ENGINEERING <br />Conswction staking requ'a�d by CONTRACTOR <br />Maintaining surveys, flag�ings, and ste{dngs provided by the PORT. <br />GENERAL <br />Except as provided in the suppkmental conditions, the CONfRACTOR is rosponsible for <br />all construction surveying. <br />During the course of the construction, the CONTRACTOR shall make availabk a person <br />to help the ENGINEER with field chxiting of grades and control as may be necessazy to <br />assure proper construction. <br />The CONTRACTOR shall ensure a surveyina, accuracy within the following tolerances: <br />Slope stakes <br />Stationing an berm <br />Alignment on berm <br />Surfacing grade stakes <br />Vtrtical <br />± 0.02 �`eet <br />N/P <br />N/A <br />t0.1 feet <br />• "- " '- <br />± 1.0 foot <br />30.1 foot <br />t0.1 foot <br />30.5 feet <br />(Pazallel to alignment) <br />30.1 fret <br />(nomial to alignment) <br />The Conaacting Agency may spot-check the CONTRACTOR's surveying. These spot- <br />checks will not change the requ'vements for nomial checking by the CONTRACI'OR. <br />When staking berm aligrutunt and stationing, the CONTRACfOR shall perform <br />independent chxks from different secondazy convol to ensure that the points staked aze <br />within the specified survey accuracy tolerances. <br />The eurvey work shall include but not be limited to the following: <br />Verify the primary horizontal and vertical control fiunished by the OWNER, and <br />expand into secondary control by adding stakes and hubs as well as additional <br />survey control needed for the project. Provide descriptions of secondary conaol <br />to the OWNER. <br />2. EstabGsh, the centerlines of all aligrunents, by placing hubs, stakes, or mazks on <br />centerline or on offsets to centerline at all curve points (PCs, PTs, and Pis) and at <br />points on the aGgmnents spaced no fiuther than 50 feet. <br />01030-1 <br />
