PORT OF EVERETT <br />IUNION SLOUGH MARSH MIT[GA770N <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 GENERAL <br />SECI'[ON 01300 <br />SUBMITTALS <br />A. Where required by the speci5cations, the CONTRACTOR shall subrttit descriptive <br />information which will enabk the ENGINEER to evaluate whether the CONTRACTOR's <br />proposed materiaLs, equipment, or methods of work ere in compliance with the Contract <br />Documents. The information submitted shall consist of drawings, specifications, <br />descriptive data, certificates, sarr�ks, test results, and other infom�ation speci6ed herein, <br />1.2 CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILIT�S <br />A. The CON'CRACTOR shall be responsibk for the accuracy and compkteness of the <br />inforn�ation contained in each subrttittal and shall assuro that the material, equipment, or <br />method of work shall be as described in the submittal. <br />B. The CONTRACi'OR shall verify that the material az�d equipment described in each <br />submittal confonn to the requiroments of the specifications and contract drawings. If the <br />infocmadon shows deviations from the speciScations or contract drawings, the <br />CUNTRACTOR shall, by written statement accompanying tie information, identify the <br />deviatiuns and state the reason therefor. <br />C. The CONTkACCOR shall ensure that therc is no contlict with other submittals and notify <br />the ENGINEER in each case where his s�txnittal may affect the work of others. <br />D. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsibk for the coordination of submittals by the <br />subcontractors. <br />E. Submittals shall be made in a timely manner to allow review by the ENGINEER. Work <br />perfort►xd by the CONTRACTOR without accepted submittaLs related to such work shall <br />be considered as having been perfomxd by the CONTRACTOR at his own risk. If <br />related submittals aze found not acceptable, the CON'CRACTOR shall romove or correct <br />work related ro such unacceptable submittals, to the satisfaction of the ENGINEER. <br />F. Where appficabk, sabmittals shall be startqxd by an appropriate enginar registerod in the <br />state of Washington. <br />G. The CONTRACi'OR shall determine submittals to bc reviewed by others including the <br />City of Everett and utility owners and allow adequate t'une for thea review and <br />concucrence. <br />1.3 TRANSMITTAL PROCEDURE <br />A.. General: <br />Submittals regazding material and equipment shall be accompanied by transmittal <br />form prepared by the CONTRACTOR. A sepazate fonn shall be used for each <br />item, class of material, piece of equipment speci5ed in seperate sections for which <br />the suM►uttal is required. Submittals for severa! items shall be made with a singk <br />U1300-1 <br />
