FINDINGS AND DECISION <br />OF THE HEARING EXAMINER OF THE <br />CITY OF EVERETT <br />IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF <br />THE PORT OF EVERETT FOR APPROVAL OF <br />A SHORELINE MANAGEMENT SDBSTGNTIAL SMA 0 2-91 <br />DEVELOPMENT PERMIT <br />DECISION: The Shoreline Management Substantial Development Permit is <br />granted subject to conditions listed. <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Port of Everett, P.O. Box 538, Everett, Washington, 98206, (hereinafter <br />referred to as Applicant) requested approval of a Shoreline Management <br />Substantial Development Permit (hereinafter referred to as "permit") for <br />removal of an existing Alumina handling facility from Pier 1 of the Everett <br />waterfront and the replacement of it with a new handling facility on Pier 3. <br />The replacement will include a pneumatic unit and a closed pipeline conveyance <br />system. The exact activity as proposed for the pier is set forth in the <br />description of the project in exhibit 1 to this hearing. This description is <br />incorporated as part of these findings.
