� • • ADDENDUM TO E�VIRONMlNTAL CHECKLIST&ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT EVERETT COMMUNITY COLLEGE—INDEX QUAD PARTIAL DEMOLITION Lead Agenry: Everett Cammunity Callege Proposal: The proposal is demolition of three buildings in the Index Quad complex on the Everett Community College Campus. The Indez Quad is a four-building complex constructed in 1966 and circa 1975.The 6uildings are past their useful life,da not function as needed to support ongoing programs, and are not economic to repair.A repiacement building was previously constructed on the campus.At this time,there is no specific plan or design,and no funding available,for a new building on the site praposed for demolition; the College maste�•plan will be updated in th a future and will address the site.In the interim,the area of the demolished buildings would be seeded and landscaped and used as open space for students and faculty. �� The demolition plan is shown in Attachment A to this addendum. SEPA Addendum: This addendum has 6een prepared consistent with settions 197-11-625 and 197-11-706 of the Washington Administrative Code(WAC�,the State Environmental Policy Act(SEPA)Rules.The SEPA Rules authorize preparation of an addendum for any environmental document to provide additianal in(ormation about the environmental impacts of a proposal,so long as impacts are of the same generel type and magnitude as those identified in an existing enviranmental document and no new significant impacts are expected to occur.The proposed partial demolition of the index Quad satisfies these criteria for an addendum,as explained'oelow.
