1 2
April 6,2007
Page 2
held to present and discuss the results of our draft report and address City review comments. Adolfson will
prepare meeting minutes for each meeting.
Project Management
This task includes communication within the project team(City staff and Consultant team members),quality
control, scheduling, budget, staffing, and general project administration.
Deliverables:
• Monthly invoices and progress reports;
• Two meetings with City staff; and
• Meeting minutes for the two meetings.
TASK 2—DATA COLLECTION AND FIELD RECONNAISANCE
The project site has been the subject of numerous studies, including:flood analyses, surveys, upgrade plans,
restoration, subsurface, and other investigations. For this task, we will review and assess selected information in
our files and information made available to us by the City that pertain to current site conditions. We will
document data gaps identified by our review.
Data Collection
We will review selected information from our files, readily available information related to the project objective,
and information provided by the City(e.g. aerial photos,FEMA Flood Study,LIDAR data, GIS data, property
ownership data, topographic maps)to characterize existing conditions. Adolfson will review this information
and, if necessary, work with the City to develop a list of additional data that may be available.
Geotechnical Data Collection and Assessment
We will review selected geologic maps and subsurface exploration data for locations in and near the project site
and that are contained in Adolfson team member Shannon&Wilson's files. We will also review subsurface data
for the WPCF and existing Ievee system that the City provides to us. We will use these data to assess subsurface
conditions.
Field Reconnaissance
We propose two field reconnaissance efforts. The first is a three-day field reconnaissance that will be performed
by two or three specialists on the Consultant team. They will verify site conditions, document photographically
the condition of the existing levees, qualitatively assess levee conditions, locate drainage structures, and develop
a general knowledge of the area. Two of the three days will be on land, and one day will be on the water. We
assume that the City's boat and driver will be used for the on-water reconnaissance. This reconnaissance will be
performed to the extent possibleduringlow tide.
The second is a one-day field reconnaissance to be performed by two specialists on the Consultant team to
investigate and document current drainage patterns. -Adolfson will identify any areas that will require specific
survey(e.g. invert elevations);we assume that if a detailed survey is needed,it will be provided by others.
Deliverables:
