REVIEW NARRATIVE 4 Governing Body Grant Application Review In addition to face-to-face discussions between members of the Everett Police Department's command staff and members of the Mayor's executive staff regarding the nature, amount and program content of the grant application, copies of the grant application have been provided to both the Mayor and City Council. On Friday, June 15`, 2007 an electronic copy of the 2007 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Application was transmitted to City of Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson via email. In addition, on the same date as indicated above, an electronic copy of the application was provided to each of the seven (7) members of the Everett City Council by email. Opportunity for Citizen Review and Comment In accordance with the standard procedure and process for conduct of business by the Everett City Council, the matter of the 2007 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Application has been formally scheduled to be brought before the City Council and a request for approval for the Mayor, or his authorized designee, to submit the application has been approved by that body. Such consideration occurred at the regularly scheduled Everett City Council meeting on Wednesday, June 13th 2007. This meeting was open to the public and an opportunity, for public comment, is routinely available during all regular City Council public sessions. 24
