13 <br /> �r <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES DEFINED <br /> Phase IV— Construction Observation & Administration Services <br /> The scope of services for construction engineering services by the Consultant for the federally <br /> funded East Marine View Drive project is supplemented with the following. These services will <br /> include project management, assistance during project advertisement, construction observation, <br /> contract administration, meetings and correspondence, review of submittals and field survey work <br /> for the City as required for the construction of the project, as detailed below. <br /> General Assumptions <br /> • The attached budget for the services detailed below is based on the services of full-time <br /> construction observation and administration based on a 420 working day schedule. <br /> • City will provide one full time Construction Observer. <br /> • Construction survey is provided by the Contractor per the Contract Provisions. The <br /> Consultant's survey crew will provide any necessary survey checks or initial staking per the <br /> Contract Provisions and as directed by the CM. <br /> • The Contractor will provide space in a job site trailer and associated equipment for the CM as <br /> specified in the Project Specifications. This job site trailer will be equipped with power and <br /> telephone capabilities to allow the use of computer(with e-mail access) and printer. <br /> Standard office equipment(desk, chair, file cabinet, layout space) will be provided by the <br /> Contractor for Consultant's sole use. <br /> • The City shall supply forms for daily reports, field note records and other construction <br /> documentation. <br /> • The project is a Federally Aided project that includes DBE &Training requirements. Record <br /> keeping will be as required for CA compliance for Federally Funded Projects. <br /> • The level of effort for each task is limited to the amount of labor and expenses indicated in <br /> the attached budget. Additional effort beyond these limits will be considered Extra Work. <br /> • For the following services, labor allowances are an estimate only. The level of effort <br /> required for this work cannot be accurately predicted as it depends on issues outside of the <br /> Consultant team's control. Some of these issues include quality of Contractor submittals, <br /> number of submittals and if multiple reviews are required and unforeseen conditions at the <br /> site.
