1 1 <br /> 2 The Contracting Agency will endeavor to provide written notification (via <br /> 3 email to the Contractor's designee) of acceptance test results through its <br /> 4 web-based materials testing system Statistical Analysis of Materials <br /> 5 (SAM) within 24 hours of the sample being made available to the <br /> I 6 Contracting Agency. However, the Contractor agrees: <br /> 7 <br /> • 8 1. Quality control, defined as the system used by the Contractor to <br /> I 9 <br /> 10 monitor, assess, and adjust its production processes to ensure <br /> that the final HMA mixture will meet the specified level of quality, <br /> 11 is the sole responsibility of the Contractor. <br /> I 12 <br /> 13 2. The Contractor has no right to rely on any testing performed by <br /> 14 the Contracting Agency, nor does the Contractor have any right <br /> 15 to rely on timely notification by the Contracting Agency of the <br /> 16 Contracting Agency's test results (or statistical analysis thereof), <br /> 17 for any part of quality control and/or for making changes or <br /> 18 correction to any aspect of the HMA mixture. <br /> I 19 <br /> 20 3. The Contractor shall make no claim for untimely notification by <br /> 21 the Contracting Agency of the Contracting Agency's test results <br /> I 22 or statistical analysis. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 5-04.3(10) HMA Compaction Acceptance <br /> 25 For all HMA, the Contractor shall comply with the General Compaction <br /> 26 Requirements in Section 5-04.3(10)A. The Contracting Agency will evaluate all <br /> 27 HMA for compaction compliance with one of the following - Statistical <br /> I 28 Evaluation, Visual Evaluation, or Test Point Evaluation - determined by the <br /> 29 criteria in Table 16: <br /> 30 <br /> II Table 16 <br /> Criteria for Determining Method of Evaluation for HMA Compaction' <br /> Statistical Evaluation Visual Evaluation of Test Point Evaluation <br /> I of HMA Compaction is HMA Compaction is of HMA Compaction <br /> Required For: Required For: is Required For: <br /> • Any HMA for which • "HMA for • Any HMA not <br /> the specified course Preleveling..." meeting the criteria <br /> I thickness is greater • "HMA for Pavement for Statistical <br /> than 0.10 feet, and Repair..."
