Casing shoring, including all costs in connection with furnishing and <br /> 7 installing casing shoring above the specified upper limit for casing shoring <br /> 8 but necessary to provide for sufficient water head pressure to resist <br /> 9 artesian water pressure present in the shaft excavation, removing casing <br /> 10 shoring, and placing seals when required. <br /> 11 <br /> I 12 6. Furnishing and placing steel reinforcing bar and epoxy-coated steel <br /> 13 reinforcing bar, including furnishing and installing steel reinforcing bar <br /> 14 centralizers. <br /> I 15 <br /> 16 7. Installation of CSL tubes or thermal wires. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 8. Furnishing, placing and curing Concrete Class 4000P to the top of shaft or <br /> I19 to the construction joint at the base of the shaft-column splice zone as <br /> 20 applicable. <br /> 21 <br /> I 22 Payment for "Constructing Diam. Shaft" will be made upon Engineer acceptance <br /> 23 of the shaft, including completion of satisfactory QA shaft tests as applicable. <br /> 24 <br /> I 25 "Rock Excavation For Shaft Including Haul", per linear foot. <br /> 26 When rock excavation is encountered, payment for rock excavation is in addition to <br /> 27 the unit Contract price per linear foot for "Constructing Diam. Shaft" <br /> I 28 <br /> 29 "Shoring Or Extra Excavation Cl. A - ", lump sum. <br /> 30 The lump sum Contract price for "Shoring Or Extra Excavation Cl. A - " shall be <br /> I 31 full pay for performing the Work as specified, including all costs in connection with <br /> 32 all excavation outside the limits specified for soil and rock excavation for shaft <br /> 33 including haul, all temporary telescoping casings, and all temporary casings beyond <br /> 34 the limits of required temporary casing specified in the Special Provisions. <br /> I35 <br /> 36 "QA Shaft Test", per each. <br /> 37 The unit Contract price per each for "QA Shaft Test" shall be full pay for performing <br /> I 38 the Work as specified, including operating all associated accessories necessary to <br /> 39 record and process data and develop the summary QA test reports. Section 1-04.6 <br /> 40 does not apply to this bid item. <br /> I 41 <br /> 42 "Removing Shaft Obstructions", estimated. <br /> 43 Payment for removing, breaking-up, or pushing aside shaft obstructions, as defined <br /> I 44 in Section 6-19.3(3)E, will be made for the changes in shaft construction methods <br /> 45 necessary to deal with the obstruction. The Contractor and the Engineer shall <br /> 46 evaluate the effort made and reach agreement on the equipment and employees <br /> I 47 utilized, and the number of hours involved for each. Once these cost items and <br /> 48 their duration have been agreed upon, the payment amount will be determined <br /> 49 using the rate and markup methods specified in Section 1-09.6. For the purpose of <br /> 50 providing a common proposal for all Bidders, the Contracting Agency has entered <br /> I51 an amount for the item "Removing Shaft Obstructions" in the Bid Proposal to <br /> 52 become a part of the total Bid by the Contractor. <br /> I <br /> I AMENDMENTS TO THE 2016 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS BOOK <br /> Revised: 8/1/16 <br />
