1 1 <br /> 2 If drilled shaft tools, cutting teeth, casing or Kelly bar is damaged as a result of the <br /> 3 obstruction removal work, the Contractor will be compensated for the costs to <br /> 4 repair this equipment in accordance with Section 1-09.6. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 If shaft construction equipment is idled as a result of the Work required to deal with I <br /> 7 the obstruction and cannot be reasonably reassigned within the project, then <br /> 8 standby payment for the idled equipment will be added to the payment calculations. <br /> 9 If labor is idled as a result of the Work required to deal with the obstruction and <br /> 10 cannot be reasonably reassigned within the project, then all labor costs resulting <br /> 11 from Contractor labor agreements and established Contractor policies will be added <br /> 12 to the payment calculations. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 The Contractor shall perform the amount of obstruction Work estimated by the <br /> 15 Contracting Agency within the original time of the Contract. The Engineer will <br /> 16 consider a time adjustment and additional compensation for costs related to the <br /> 17 extended duration of the shaft construction operations, provided: <br /> 18 <br /> 19 1. The dollar amount estimated by the Contracting Agency has been I <br /> 20 exceeded, and <br /> 21 <br /> 22 2. The Contractor shows that the obstruction removal Work represents a <br /> 23 delay to the completion of the project based on the current progress <br /> 24 schedule provided in accordance with Section 1-08.3. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br /> 27 7-02.AP7 <br /> 28 Section 7-02, Culverts , <br /> 29 August 1, 2016 <br /> 30 7-02.2 Materials 1 <br /> 31 The following three new items are inserted after the item "Aggregate for Portland Cement <br /> 32 Concrete: <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Gravel Backfill for Pipe Zone Bedding 9-03.12(3) <br /> 35 Butyl Rubber Sealant 9-04.11 <br /> 36 External Sealing Band 9-04.12 1 <br /> 37 <br /> 38 The last paragraph is deleted. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 7-02.3(6) Precast Reinf. Conc. Three Sided Structures, Box Culverts and Split <br /> 41 Box Culverts <br /> 42 This section is supplemented with the following new paragraph: <br /> 43 111 <br /> 44 When the Plans include a complete set of design details for a Structure (defining panel <br /> 45 shapes and dimensions, concrete strength requirements, and steel reinforcing bar, joint, I <br /> 46 and connection details), the design and load rating preparation and calculation submittal <br /> 47 requirements of Sections 7-02.3(6)A1 and 7-02.3(6)A2 do not apply for the components <br /> 48 shown in the Plans, but all other requirements of this Section remain in effect. The <br /> 49 Contractor may propose alternate concrete culvert designs, accommodating the same <br /> 50 rise, span, and length as shown in the Plans, to replace the Structure details shown in <br /> AMENDMENTS TO THE 2016 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS BOOK <br /> Revised: 8/1/16 <br />
